What is the difference between an ABS and an epoxy RFID keyfob?

ABS keyfobs are the more affordable and robust option, moulded in high-hardness plastic with direct printing. Epoxy keyfobs add a clear resin top coat over the print that protects the design and provides a glossy, premium finish. Epoxy is more scratch-resistant and has a more exclusive appearance.

Which RFID chip is best for access control?

For standard access control, the Mifare Classic 1K is the most widely used thanks to its universal compatibility. For higher security, Mifare DESFire EV3 with AES-128 encryption is the recommended option for corporate environments, luxury hotels and projects with stringent security requirements.

Can I customise the keyfob with my company logo?

Yes. All our RFID and NFC keyfobs are personalised with your logo, brand colours and any design you choose. We offer full-colour CMYK and Pantone printing, as well as a wide range of standard or custom-matched casing colours.

Is there a minimum order for custom RFID keyfobs?

There is no minimum order for digital print orders. We produce from a single unit for samples and testing. For offset printing, minimums vary by format.

Are RFID keyfobs compatible with smartphones?

It depends on the chip. Keyfobs with an NTAG213 or NTAG216 chip are fully compatible with any Android smartphone and iPhone 7 or later — no app required. Keyfobs with 13.56 MHz Mifare chips can also be read with specific apps.
